Graphic Designer and Deejane
OMG what is that pink stuff you are eating?
Well, this is definitely nothing to eat, but a nice reminiscence of my childhood. It is a toy called Slimy, which can be pulled apart in weird forms. My mother bought it for me when I was a girl. Now I bought it for the kids and it was the first thing coming into my mind, when I thought about extraordinary ideas for our Gute Leute photo shoot. The result is one of the few photos of me I really like.
Does your job frequently involve doing this kind of weird stuff?
In my job as graphic designer I made a lot of things in the past, from print-advertising stuff, web, social media and mobile design up to editorial print and digital. That was usual business, except from my freelancing jobs. But the weirdest thing I did as designer was Gute Leute Magazine. We created the magazine in a very short time with an international team and a lot of fun. The best thing about the work is that we are not restricted what we design or show to people and that’s the nicest change from a usual job and I don’t want to miss this.
Which is your secret spot in Hamburg where we could find you?
I‘m not sure if this is a secret, but once a month I play electronic music at Pony Bar, together with my love. I’ve been DJing since I was 19 years old (so wow, this is 13 years now). Shortly after I moved from Fulda to Hamburg, Pony Bar became a place to drink a coffee during study breaks and just hang out, or to have a glass of wine and play a round of kicker in the evenings. But most of all I enjoy playing the music that I love there. Other people also like it. If you want to join watch out for dates on my Facebook page.
